Welcome to the Fawn Lake Yacht Club (FLYC)

(38° 26.01' North Latitude - 77° 70.77' West Longitude)

During the afternoon of Saturday, July 3, 1999, several progressive Fawn Lake yachtsmen met aboard a Correct Craft ski boat. They were anchored off Country Club Cove at the foot of the Fawn Lake Clubhouse. They proposed forming a group of Fawn Lake residents which would serve as an organization for weekend skiing, socializing and summer fun in the warm waters of beautiful central Virginia. These individuals agreed to form the Fawn Lake Yacht Club. And the rest is history…

But seriously, just years later, the Yacht Club has grown to over 250 members! We have nine official gatherings and many weekend floats. If you’re a Yacht Club veteran, you know how much fun these activities are. If you’re new to the neighborhood, all are welcome to join. As you can tell, there are activities for the entire family and a boat is certainly not a requirement for membership. Our charter is to be a club for all ages with the emphasis on good friends and great times!
