Hello Yacht Club Members,

Happy 2009!

First, I want to thank Brett DeGallery and his team for an amazing year last year.  I know I had alot of fun and I am sure each of you did as well.  It is now a new year and yes, time for a new Commodore.  Your 2009 Officers are working really hard to make sure 2009 is as memorable as 2008 was.  So, I have a couple of agenda items to share with you.....

1)  It is time for our 2009  Schedule of Events so hold the following dates for really cool 2009 activities.....Some are signature events for the Yacht Club and some are new.

*Bike & Wine Tasting Tour – April 4^th

*Blessing of the Fleet – May 23^rd

*Family Fun Day – Luau at the Beach – August 8^th

*Bike & Beer Tasting Tour – September 26^th

*FLYC Road Trip!! 75^th Running of the Montpelier Hunt Races – Nov 7^th

* New Year’s Eve Party – Dec 31^st  

2)  Our membership drive is underway.  Individual Dues are $25 per person and should be paid to either Donna Cox or Chuck Mutter.  Checks should be made payable to Fawn Lake Yacht Club.  Please send your dues to one of us as soon as possible so we can start planning our activities for the year.  By the way, I would like to congratulate the Berkeleys for being our first official paid members for 2009. Congratulations to Mike and Stephanie.....I am not planning to announce who the last person will be to pay in 2009, but who knows?????  (just a joke, Brett told me I could joke with you all and you would not hold it against me!)

3)  Corporate Sponsorships are $30 per year.  For that incredibly cheap price, we will introduce your company to our membership of over 250 members (or remind our membership of your company if you are a repeat sponsor) and also, we will include a brief description of the company and a link to your website or contact information via our FLYC website.  If you or someone you know would like to become a corporate sponsor, please contact me at commodore@fawnlakeyachtclub.org or Liesel Hubbard at fleetcaptain@fawnlakeyachtclub.org .
